Pier Pressure #26

public

Nobody wants to come here but others goad them into it.

This creaking wooden construction has seen better days and the churning waters below are all too visible between the walkway planks. The railing is a long chain looped through eyelets of regularly spaced upright posts.

Pier Pressure leads to a Clouded View. Gazing out through the mist you can't decide if you wanted to be here or if it was somebody else's suggestion.

Anglers are fishing off the end of the pier. One has had a lot of success and has a bucket full of compliments. He'd like you to notice how well he is doing but you don't play those kind of games.

One frustrated soul is trying to send stones bouncing across the surface of the water. He only read half of the instructions for doing so, and not even the right half. He must get better at skimming.

The last chap here has been doing drag trawling. You are afraid to ask what he's caught as you are intimidated by what's in his fish-nets.

This plaice is a bad joke and you regret coming here against your better judgement.
